What is Regenera Activa®?
An advanced and effective medical treatment that relies on patient's own healthy hair cells to regenerate and stimulate hair growth, as well as decrease hair fall and breakage. As no other chemicals, drugs or enzymes are used, this procedure carries minimum to no risk or side effects.
It is suitable for mild to moderate hair loss, and is highly effective for androgenetic alopecia (pattern hair loss), which is the most common type of hair loss across both genders.
Who is it for?
Regenera Activa® is suitable for most cases of mild to moderate hair loss. Treatment is recommended as early as possible while there are still healthy hair follicles. Once the follicles have closed off, the hair loss becomes irreversible.
For men, it is used to treat early balding or thinning at the top/apex and to improve receding hairline. For women, it is used to treat thinning, reduced hair density or widening hair parting. Anyone who experiences notable hair loss when washing or combing their hair can consider Regenera Activa as an option to combat hair loss.
However, patients diagnosed with scarring alopecia or alopecia areata, this treatment would not be recommended. It is also not suitable for patients whose hair follicles have been damaged or closed off.

How It's Done
The donor area (back of the scalp) is first injected with a local anaesthetic to prepare for donor samples extraction. Small samples are extracted with a punch biopsy to harvest the hair matrix. There may be slight pressure felt during this procedure, but sharp pain is unlikely to be experienced with the local anaesthetic.
These samples are then processed in the Regenera Activa® device for about 10-15 minutes to prepare the solution of progenitor cells, growth factors and extracellular matrix (all of which comes from your own hair follicle samples!). This solution of micrografts is then injected into the recipient area(s). There might be some discomfort and pain during this stage, however most patients experience only little discomfort during this stage.
