What are Dermal Fillers & Skin Boosters?
Dermal fillers are hyaluronic acid gel injections that are injected directly underneath the skin to restore youthfulness to the skin. The hyaluronic acid can be used to fill out sunken areas, add volume and definition, as well as treat severe acne scarring.
Skin boosters are similar to dermal fillers, however they are used to restore elasticity, tone, plumpness and most importantly, moisture to the skin. All of which we gradually lose over time as our skin ages. Skin boosters resolve dehydrated skin and in turn, improves fine lines and wrinkles.

How It's Done
A numbing cream will first be applied to the area(s) of concern 30 mins prior to the procedure. The area(s) of concern are then prepared and disinfected using an antiseptic solution. The fillers or skin boosters will then be injected by the doctor.
During this process, there might be some pain and discomfort depending on the area(s) injected. However, your comfort is our priority! Ice packs and distraction devices will be available to you so that the pain and discomfort felt can be significantly minimised.
frequently Asked Questions
It takes roughly 30 to 45 mins to complete injection of fillers, depending on how many areas of concerns are treated.
The procedure may be slightly painful when injected into certain areas (such as under-eyes or lips). However, a strong numbing cream will be applied 30 mins before the procedure starts to minimise the pain. During the procedure, distraction devices and ice packs will be available to further minimise discomfort as well. Most of our patients have found the process tolerable.
There is virtually no downtime. However, there might be slight bruising and swelling around the injected area(s). You can apply makeup and proceed with social activities after the procedure.
You should avoid alcohol, blood thinners such as aspirin, and other medications that might cause you bleed or bruise more easily 2-3 days before and after the procedure.
Each brand of fillers have their own unique property and benefits. And within each brand, there are different ranges that provide different effects.
There are no right or wrong brands or range of fillers, as it depends on your area(s) of concern and the outcome you're hoping to achieve.
